On March 5th I had the amazing opportunity to go to a dog show at the Arizona state fair grounds and photograph this beautiful English Bull Terrier, Finn.

Before and After photos for Photoshop class! (#2)

Before

After

I manually cropped the photo of Tierra then using the Quick Selection tool I selected her and the window. Once they were both selected I used the "Select" drop down menu at the top of the screen and then clicked, "Inverse." I made the inverse black and white and then changed the Color Balance of Tierra and the window to:

Cyan/Red: -5
Magenta/Green: -5
Yellow/Blue: +5

For this photo of the buildings and the light rail station I became acquainted with the Brush tool. I traced the majority of the lines on the buildings. Then I changed the Color Balance of the image to:

Cyan/Red: +30
Magenta/Green: 0
Yellow/Blue: -50

I used the clone stamp tool to fill in the areas that were lacking in bokeh. I used the Dodge tool to lighten areas at the top of the picture that were too dark and used the Burn tool to darken the lighter areas at the bottom. I also decreased the Saturation to -40 and the brightness to -20.

First, I changed the image to Black and White, then selected Threshold Adjustment and set the Opacity to 50%. Using the Photo Filter adjustment I set the density to 1. Using the Warming filter, I set Cyan to -30, Magenta to -30, and Yellow to +60.

Using the Crop tool I cropped and straightened the photo manually. Then used the Patch tool to remove the sidewalk and remove the car behind the Lamborghini. Next, I used the Burn tool to darken the area around the car and the Dodge tool to brighten the car itself. Using the Blur tool I blurred the foreground and background. To make the car stand out, I used the Sharpen tool. I used the Color Replacement Tool to change the red reflections on the car to grey. The Smudge tool came in handy to smudge out the people reflected on the car and lastly, I used the Mixer Brush tool to add a slight vignette to the corners of the image.
